Watts And Voltage.

vaparroos,

so here is a chart: http://i.imgur.com/6oraBGI.png

this charts says if i have a 1.2 ohm in my kanger subtank that i can vape at 6.0 volts at 30 watts and be ok, but i know that is not the case...

when i'm vaping at 1.2 ohm at 3.8 votls its ok, but i'm in the orange too...why am i still in the orange at 6 volts?

hope that makes sense...

Question About Builds

So I decided to try a 1,6 ohm coil on kayfun v4 clone Tobecco and I am using 28gauge Kanthal with a cotton
wick on a Rdna 30 and its vaping well at 15 watts I have a kanger subtank mini coming in the mail and here goes my question
So the kanger subtank states that with a .5 ohm coil i could vape up to 30 watts but the voltage comes in at like 3.8 volts
I was under the impression that the rdna 30 needs at least 4 volts to work which kinda brings me to my second question
What is the point of of sub ohms? cant i just build a 2.0 ohm coil or something like that to achieve the results as if i was subohming
I am very confused on this
thanks for the replys in advance
Oh yea is a 1.6 ohm coil at 15 watts a normal build or any recommendations for the kayfun v4 for watts and ohms thanks again

Help Me Understand Something...

I'm not quite sure what the difference is between operating in VV vs VW is. a worker at a B&M said I'll get more "performance" out of VW mode ... But in my mind Ohm's law rules. If I run my Atlantis .5 at 4.2 volts, that's 29.4 watts. I understand that I can up watts a bit without affecting the voltage reading (maybe it affects it beyond the decimal places the iStick 50 can display?) but am I theoretically squeezing any more performance out of the coil? I'll be honest and say that it only makes a difference when the wattage reaches the borderland between one voltage output and the next and even that seems to be very minor.

I hope that makes sense. IOW, if I like the vape at 4.2 volts, then am I actually gaining anything by upping wattage without changing voltage? My initial experiments tell me "not really," but the science part of my head wants a better answer. Maybe I'm missing something?

Smok Xpro M65 - Weird Voltage Increase/drop

Hello,

I've set my Smok xPro M65 with my Kayfun V4 on 15 watts at 0.8 ohm. However, the volts are changing frequently on vaping. Ohm and Watts stay the same just sometimes on vape the volts display 3.4v, the next time its showing 3.6v and changing etc ... its weird because ohm and watts are the same .. just volts change .. what may cause this ?

Kind Regards.

Any Sugestions Please

hi all
I have a mvp 3 and I use iclear 30 tanks 1.9 to 2.1 ohms
im vapeing at 12 watts 5.1 volts and have been for a few weeks now
everything was fine until today right now in fact hence the reason for this question
I refilled my tank and screwed it back on my mvp when I pressed the button to vape
it reads the ohms and volts and wattage the wattage was as normal 12 watts
the volts were 7.1 and the ohms were 6.0 totally unvapable and burnt tasting
(I should also point out that the volts and watts are locked in on the mvp)
I have also tried the tanks on other devices and still the same issue
which leads me to believe its the tanks at fault and not the device
I have been vapeing long enough to understand the reasons for burnt taste
and the causes and solutions to rectify it but I have never had this happen before
I tried other tanks and the same has happened except for one which works fine
does anyone have any idea whats going on
thanks

Kanger 1.2 Ohm Enclosed Wick Wattage And Voltage?

Hi, I was thinking about buying the Kanger 1.2 ohm enclosed wick but am not sure exactly what wattage or voltage to use. I currently use the Protank 3 on my Istick 50w. I am currently using the 1.5 ohm wicks and run my device at 9.2 watts and 3.8 volts. So I was wondering if this is right and if I should up the wattage for the 1.2 ohm coils and leave the voltage the same?

What Is The Maximum # Of Volts Can I Use With A 1.6 Ohm Coil?

I have a battery that is capable of going up to 6.0 V but the chart that came with the battery did not have 1.6 Ohm listed on the chart, it skipped from 1.5 Ohm to 1.8 Ohm.
I just need to know what the max amount of volts that I can use with this coil without reducing it's life expectancy to much.

- Also is there any reason to prefer variable wattage mode over variable voltage? because I always use V/V mode never even tried V/W.

Watts And Volts

So I've been looking through different posts and I'm still confused about the difference between watts and volts. I'm looking at buying a vv4 and I figured it would be a good idea to understand what exactly I'm buying before spending the money on it. While I was looking through the forums, I saw words like sub-ohms and ohms being thrown around so IF someone wants to explain that I would be eternally grateful otherwise that's the next lesson I'm planning to learn.

How To Get The Perfect Vape.

I find keeping the voltage at 4.2 to 5 max will give me the perfect vape.It works out too using ohms law.For ex:,if i wrap a coil at 1.5 ohm,i set the watts at 12/13 and it works out too 4.2.

If i do .20 wrap i can ''bump'' up the watts to 50 and it will still be about 5 volts with no burnt taste.

Ya cant break ohms law.

Will Lowering My Battery Voltage By 0.4 Volts Up Its Life?

I have a variable W/V battery and I prefer it on 4.2, but it is expensive and I never get the full 300 charges out of them like they claim they are supposed to get. Will decreasing the voltage by 0.4 Volts increase the battery life to a significant extent that makes it worth while?

Istick 50w Question Regarding Volts / Watts Settings.

Little confused here...so I've got this piece of equipment with the up and down arrows locked at say 4.8 Volts. I notice that sometimes even with the button locked Ill pull it out of my pocket and see that the volts have changed to 4.7 or even 4.6.

So naturally I try and change it back to 4.8 and it reads "locked"

How is this changing with the lock feature enabled?
