Nitecore Charging..

I just got a nitecore i2 charger always just use the charger on my mod but it's starting to get a tad wiggle to it so figured I'd buy decent charger just wondering how long to charge and is it supposed to get a little warm?

Nitecore Um10/20 Or D2?

looking at buying a new charger from edisonbright(authorized nitecore distributor) after getting burned with a fake on ebay. i can either get a UM or a D2 as thats what my funding allows, which do you reccomend? i only have 2 batteries right now, so charger space isnt a premium.

Is This Charging Adaptor Compatible With My "smok"

I've been charging my 18650 batteries on a Nitecore charger but having to unscrew my Smok XPRO m65 is a real pain so thought I may as well make use of the USB port and charge the battery while it's still in the mod.
But I've been hearing a few horror stories of other mods such as the clouper, apparently its not safe to charger using the USB port

I'd really appreciate it if anyone can help inform me if I'd be able to use my phone charging adaptor with my mod.

The input and output specs of my phone charger and mod input are in the attached pics.

Cheers everyone

Defective Sony Vtc5?

intstalled 2 sony vtc 5's in my new nitecore d2 that i just received today. both bays indicated low charge with 1 bar on each meter. 3.67v for bay 1 and 3.62v for bay 2. an hour later bay 1 has 3 bars, 3.88 v and bay 2 has 1 bar, 3.71v. seems bay 2 is not charging. is the charger or battery acting up?
after bay 1 finishes can i install the battery not charging in bay 1 to test.

Charging An Ipv Mini

Can I use an external battery pack to charge an IPV Mini?

I have a 10,000mAh external battery to charge my cell phone (Note 4, with a 3500mAh battery), which has 2 options for charging: 1.5v=1A and 2.5v=2.1A.

Is it recommended? Is it safe? Are there any precautions I need to take if I use the battery pack?

I haven't gotten around to getting an extra 18650 battery (and charger) for the IPV Mini. I've finally realized that it takes maybe 2-3 hours to charge the battery via the USB cable. But the one battery doesn't quite last me all day, depending on how heavy I'm using the Mini.

I usually carry a Volcano Inferno once the Mini dies, but the Volcano really sucks in comparison to the Mini. I'd love to be able to charge the Mini while I'm out and about.

I've added a pic of the external battery for specific information.

Thanks for all your help.

Battery Charging Question

Hi Guys,

So I originally had a nitecore i8 charger that I used to charge 8 x 18650 batteries. After using it for a few days I started noticing that it made a weird ticking noise and got VERY hot on the bottom. Needless to say this made me quite uncomfortable.

So I exchanged it for a Xtar VC8. So far it’s been amazing. No ticking or weird noises and it doesn’t get hot. It also comes with a nice screen that shows you some details about your batteries. This is what leads me to my question.

I noticed when charging my batteries most of them show as roughly 3.7v but others show as 4.1v. Also the longer they charge the higher the number goes. Is this normal? Sorry I’m a total idiot when it comes to batteries and voltages etc. If anyone could clue me in i would be very great full!

Thanks

The Possibility Of An Ego Type Battery Charger Mod

Just curious that if I could build a device that would allow me to connect an eGo or Vision Spinner 2 type battery to a charger like a Nitecore Intellicharger i4 that it would work safely and efficiently in place of the usual USB charger? I have an idea as to how to make the connection but I wanted to get some feedback on the idea before I actually proceed to build it. I admit that I am no expert when it comes to Li-ion batteries but my goal is to be able to charge the "stick" type batteries that I own in a faster and safer manner than the seemingly low tech USB chargers. Thanks for any input offered.

Efest 18650 Batteries Not Lasting!!

So I have (2) 3100mAh Efest batteries rated @ 20A and (1) 2500mAh Efest batterie rated @ 35A. I'm experiencing a pretty annoying problem with all 3 of them and that is they aren't lasting nearly as long as I feel they should be. I can EASILY vape through a battery in less than one hour while heavy vaping. I'm aware that I am sub-ohming and that requires more power from the battery but these are just going way too fast and something isn't right. I have a BEC Pro mod that takes a single 18650 battery and I'm vaping an Aspire Atlantis tank @ 35 watts with the .5 ohm coil installed. I charge each battery fully with a Nitecore i2 before using them and it'll say 4.2V on my mod & on my Smart BEC app it will say 100% as I take my first few puffs but then starts draining at a ridiculous rate until they are dead. I am not aware what the mod efficiency is on my BEC Pro or if there might be something not working properly within my device. Can someone please help me find what's wrong with these? Maybe some of you have eperienced this problem with Efest batteries in the past? Thanks in advance!

Edit: These are genuine Efest batteries as I bought them straight from the manufacture on Ebay.

Istick 30w - Not Charging To Full

I just got an istick 30w the other day from a local tobacco store. I bought an istick 30w for $45 which isn't too bad, I'm having problems with it not charging to full. I am using a 1a rated charger and it is supposed to charge to full in exactly 2.5 hours with a dead battery. I cannot get it to charge above about 75-80%, no matter what I do. As of now it's been on the charger for 2 hours and 38 minutes and is at about 80%, and is showing no sign of continuing to charge.

When I leave the device on overnight, I will wake up and it will be at around 65%, and it would have just stopped charging. I don't understand.
