Best Pen Style Vape 2015

Hello everyone, the thread's title is pretty self-explanatory. I've been vaping on my trusty iTaste VV v3 for the past 9 months but alas, its battery is starting to kick out and does not hold charges like it used to. I'm finding myself charging the device 2-3 times a day if I'm chain vaping. Needless to say, it's time to pick up a new vape. I have done some reserach online and it seems that the iTaste VV v4 is now available and it seems to be the same as the v3 except with a new and improved LCD as well as a 1000mah battery (as opposed to the original 800 mah that the v3 has). I was thinking on taking the plunge and getting the v4 however before I did, I wanted to ask to see if anyone here could recommend any other pen-style vapes that may be even better than the v4. My only requirements are that it be variable wattage and voltage, and the bigger the battery, the better. The iStick 30 seems like a good option for a compact vape however if I'm putting my vape in my pants with my phone, the iStick 30 may be a little too bulky. Subohm would be nice as well, but not necessary as I won't be cloud chasing on a pen-style vape anytime soon.

Thanks in advance for all the feedback!

Bow 30, Clone Of Istick 30

A week ago I have bought Bou 30W which is a clone of iStick 30.

Bou 30W Style Variable Wattage Box Mod Black

On page of Angelsigs it is written it can go from 2W to 30W, and it is a lie. I hoped it is improved version of iStick, but seems it has the same circuit in. It starts only from 5 W, and quite often I like to vape at lower wattages (you know, to suck on pacifier without really spending any juice). And it is a bit too small to be comfortable. Vamo is still better, and I can just replace batteries instead of charging the whole device (where are phones with replaceable battery?)

Otherwise it feels very sturdy, buttons are solid, battery life is good. I have not used iStick, but think there is practically no difference.

Another Vape That Shot Its Load On Me...

I purchased the Geek Vape Aegis Boost a few weeks back. This is probably the 20th vape device that has stopped working on me. The micro usb port no longer takes a charge and I was gentle with it when charging it. I'm going to stick to vapes that use usb c charging from now on.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a vape decice that has a large enough battery for a full day of heavy vaping, uses usb c and had a large tank that will also hold enough juice for the day? Draw activation would be nice but it's not necessary. I also need something that is mouth to lung because I get a sore throat easily from vaping. Also, I'd much prefer the battery to be integrated in the device as opposed to having to put the battery in. There are too many options on the market and I can't decide which one to get so I would appreciate any help. Thanks so much in advance.

I Think I'm Dumb (or Maybe Just Happy)

So I need to make sure right off the bat that no one misunderstands this post as somehow an attack on any vaper of any kind. I'm posting this because I have become genuinely curious and feel I may be missing out on my vaping experience. I've had an APV of some kind or another for the last 2 years or so, nothing ever real fancy or expensive (I just got an istick 50W and love it) but APVs none the less. I have found that I only really vape at very low Watts/Volts compared to many on this (as we speak I'm vaping The Virus in an old original model protank with a 2.2ohm coil in it at 3.8V--6.5W). Now it's not because I don't own a device that can reach the Watt levels I want, any of them can; in fact, I purchase higher resistance coils so I have a bigger range to vape at. My first VV battery was an ego style twist, and I have always kept with the same mentality (again, I'm not suggesting this is the right way, or better than others at all)-- I start at a low voltage, hit it, and continue to raise it .1V at a time until I get a burnt hit. I dial it one down, and there I am. Now I always use the Variable Voltage setting, and where I vape usually works out to be in the 5.5-7.5W range. Now, I have noticed that this is astoundingly low for the devices I use. My question is: when vaping at such high Watt levels, how can you taste the juice at all? I mean, at home (obviously not out in public) I would love to be getting even more satisfying vapor from these devices, which is clearly possible. So what am I doing wrong? What am I missing? Why is it that in the 6-7W range even my hits taste so burnt and dry I would never dream of continuing? All of your information/advice is greatly appreciated. Vape On.

Wanting New Hardware

I currently use Halo's Triton batteries and I like the batteries but I do not like the tanks. I have been having issues with them wicking and it's annoying. I use the batteries now with the regular cartomizers because the cartos always work and I don't have to fiddle with them. The problem is they are a regular carto and don't hold much juice so I'm always topping them off. I've always like the streamlined look of the triton and ego style batteries and the battery life is ok on them but I'm tired of having to fiddle with crap. I just want to pour in some juice and be able to vape for a while without worrying about anything.

I have noticed the Isticks and they actually look kinda cool but I'm still concerned about jumping into the box mod world. My other concern is what tank would you use on them that would be better than the Triton tanks, do they make some that are hassle free and you can just vape and maybe screw on a new coil every week or two. Another thing is it seems all the new tanks out there have metal mouthpieces and I HATE those, they feel horrible on my lips. I like the regular plastic kind that don't get cold or hot but are just normal feeling (if that makes sense).

If someone could please give some advise on a tank, there are so many new things out there and I'm lost. I have been vaping off and on for several years but have never found anything to keep me off cigs for more than 6 months at a time because of all the fidgiting thats involved. Also any thoughts about going from an ego style battery to a Istick.

Thanks for any and all help. This stuff is so confusing to me.

Am I A Luddite?

Or maybe even a heretic, or a blasphemer?
I like mini tanks and small batteries. My favorite setups are mini protank version 1 clones with 650mah basic ego style batteries. Stainless steel finish, no funky colors or designs. Single bottom coil on the tanks, no air flow controls. Standard voltage batteries, no twisty things on the bottom, no usb passthrough, no digital displays, just a battery. I like the ego style because the protruding button is easier to find and helps keep them from rolling around. The lack of features I don't need means the batteries are small. I like small, sleek, simple.

I have a nice big fancy Smok vv/vw battery. If I cut my juice in half with VG I can blow some massive clouds without knocking myself out. I found this to be mildly amusing for a short period of time. I also found out that with my regular mix when I dialed around for the "sweet spot" I ended up at 3.7 volts...

The mini tanks don't hold a day's worth of juice, and the 650mah batteries don't last all day. So what? Tank gets low, twist it off and pop another on. Battery light flashes, same thing. I've got a battered old EGO case from my first starter kit, it holds four tanks and batteries and a bottle of juice with room to spare.

I got my first mini pro tank from a vape shop. I just assumed it was a Kanger, but there was no mention of Kangertech anywhere on the packaging or tank. Whatever, I really liked it. I figured the real deal would be even better so I ordered one online. Kanger had discontinued the version 1, so I bought the "new, improved" version 2. It was good, but I liked the clone version 1 better. The clone tanks are polycarbonate rather than pyrex, but I don't vape plastic eating flavors, so that's a non-issue.

Now I'm not knocking all the cloud chasing, coil winding, wick trimming gear heads that seem to dominate these forums, but if there's anybody else out there who enjoys vaping with a nice, simple, inexpensive setup, I'd like to hear from you.

Itaste Vv4 15w- How Long Should My Battery Last?

i have a new Itaste VV4 15 watt 1000mah
I don't seem to get as much time out of my battery as i expected- does anyone know about how long it should last?

I'm going to test it out to see exactly how much time i get out of a full charge but as of right now i just feel like it's not lasting as long as it should.

Also when I use it plugged up on a charging cord the battery still runs out till it eventually has no charge and turns off and cant be used till it adds up some charge on it- I thought since it was a pass through device i would still be able to continue to use it while being plugged up on the charger, so im not sure if I should actually be able to with this device and mine is not working correctly or thats just how this unit does work.

E Cig Battery Question?

I have an orbit cannon vape pen. I believe it's 510 style.

I bought it 5 months ago. I just got around to using it. You press the button 5 times, and it turns on, press it 5 more times and it shuts off. The light also indicates the battery voltage. It turns white when fully charged, and then blue, and then red when it's almost dead. There is also a light on the charger that is red while it's charging and then it's supposed to turn green when it's done charging.

Well, the e cig battery light stays white for a short while, and then turns blue. It used to stay white longer. It's like after a short bit of usage, it goes blue. The red light on the charger also never turns green no matter how long it stays plugged in.

The e cig stayed in the box, and the battery was depleted. I picked it up a few days ago and put it on the charger to start using it and noticed this.

Does it sound like the battery is messed up? Last night I charged it 3 hours and the red light on the charger never turned green so I unplugged it. The light on the battery was white. Today I went to use it, and the light was blue - I never used it and the e cig itself was turned off.

Taking A New Vaper To A B&m Tmrw

hey guys.
i had a friend ask me to take her to a vape shop tomorrow to her set up with something thrifty. at first i thought of suggesting the istick but after seeing the issues on reddit and multiple vape forums i can't in good conscience recommend it to her. the b&m i'm taking her to has most of the trendy devices, but i am a vape dinosaur and i'm behind current trends.
she is a nonsmoker and is looking for something to tinker with. it's not like she needs something super fancy to keep her off smokes, but something reliable and easy would be best.
what would you guys suggest checking out, both device and atomizer? i'm pretty sure i don't want to take her down the high wattage low ohm road.

thanks!

Do You Chain Vape?did U Lower Ur Nic

do you vape at regularly consistent intervals or do you chain vape all day?

If you chain vape do you vape a lower nic level so that you don't get nic sick?

I find myself using my itaste more than i would smoke so i am wondering if that is normal or not.

Can I Get Some Help Getting Setup Please?

Haven't vaped in like 8 years? So most of everything is new to me now..
But I did a little reading and I figured out a few things I need in a vape, but really there is so much, it's kinda hard to know what is good and what is not for brands and styles, so I'm hoping I can get some help by experienced vapers here.

I'm looking to quit smoking and here's what I'm looking for in a vape setup.

MTL Mouth to Lung setup so I can draw in and then inhale like a cigarette, but I would like a decent cloud. Not looking for huge, just good and maybe be able to slightly adjust what gets produced with using only 50/50 juice blends.

RTA setup? I need a rebuildable coil tank system.
I need to keep my maintenance cost low, so I need to be able to rebuild new coils.

No leak tank is a must. Needs to lay down on side on table and keep in pocket.

1 battery or 2. Doesn't matter much.

Would like a smaller mouthpiece compared to the larger style so I can get a good MTL draw.

Not sure what my options are for tanks and box mods or pen style? I think I need some kind of box mod? So i can slightly fine tune watts, volts to my coils if it just doesn't feel right and needs minor adjustments? Also like the option showing how many seconds used or draws.

There's so many tanks out there, but it's hard to tell what is really good.
The battery side, I really have no idea what I would need... watts, ohms, voltage.. with all the combinations, I can figure out what I really need..

Not looking to just be easy simple. I want good quality and I can only buy once.. I can't really afford it as it is, but I need to stop smoking..
But I want to buy once and be good for long time and not wish I bought something else. I just don't have the money to play around like that..

So I hope I can get some help here or suggestions to get me looking in the right direction for tank and battery side system.

Quality brands?
Brands to pass on because there is better options?
