Another Question About Batteries.

Now that I have gotten into unregulated mods I've been doing a lot of reading about batteries... well actually I had started reading before but now that I am actually using them I want to know more.

One thing I am a little puzzled about is that you should recharge a battery when it's about 2/3 discharged and you should never charge a battery that is completely discharged. My questions:

1. How do I know the level of discharge in my battery? - I don't own a multi meter
2. What do you do with a fully discharged battery? - just chuck it?

When To Charge 21700 Battery?

Hi

I'm using Samsung 21700 T40 batteries.
Trying to figure out..
Is it best to charge a battery when it's discharged or nearly discharged?

I like to keep things simple with a routine of charging once a day, but then the battery will be set to charge even when there's 15-30% power left.

Is that bad for the battery?

Calibrating Batteries And Battery Meters

A long time ago, talking to a friend who's an electronic engeneer, he advised me to do something and so far works beautifully. It's specially true of cellphones and integrated battery stuff, so you might as well do it to your iSticks and your Kindle as well.

When you receive a new device that has an integrated battery and charger, both have circuitry controlling the charge. The first week of use or so (in the case of the Kindle the first few weeks or months) do complete discharge (until it shuts down completely) and charge completely cycles. This calibrates the battery and the charger to make a more efficient use of the energy.

Just now I'm putting a new iStick 30 though its paces. First day lasted me about 6 hours. Second day almost 8. Yesterday a full 12 hours. Doesn't matter the voltage. Charge it completely and discharge it completely a few times. You'll see how performance increases dramatically.

Wismec Luxotic Surface Battery Low Issue

I got a problem with my Luxotic Surface. I'm using a LG Choco Battery 18650, it was fully charged and when I press the fire button suddenly it appears for Battery Low even the battery was on fully charged. I tried my spare battery maybe its just a mistake putting a fully charge battery, but it was the same issue also with the spare battery. I tried the 2 batteries with my Geek Vape Aegis 100W to check whether my batteries are already broke but it works fine. I was vaping for my Luxotic Surface by 55.0 Wattage, 0.21 ohms, 3.40 Voltage. Can someone help me out to fix this problem?

Ego-t Battery Not Screwing Into Charger

I ordered two of these batteries from FastTech. The cheap price and high capacity (without having a mod or some awkward huge battery) attracted me to them. Some two weeks later they show up...

I have two Puff King chargers that came with starter kits we bought at a B&M store. We've been using them with Tripl3 eGo batteries, one Puff King battery (and another Puff King battery, which was taken back and exchanged for another eGo-T battery, which broke), and so far no problems screwing any batteries in. These two from FT show up however and neither will screw into one Puff King charger, but they both did into the other (same charger, down to the model number and everything). Now, one battery from FT still screws in, but the other doesn't.

I took the non screwing in battery to a local B&M store and the guy there was able to screw it into one of their chargers. He handed it to me, and I unscrewed it, screwed it back in, unscrewed it again, and then neither of us could screw it in again. Now I have one battery from FT that will screw into one of my chargers, but not the other. The other battery will charge, but it has to just like sit in the charger and hope the connection stays okay for it to charge. I still have no problems screwing any of my other batteries into either charger, just these ones from FT. Also, it's worth mentioning that the FT batteries never seemed to screw in right... it always felt weird and finicky getting it to go in.

What's up with these batteries? They claim to be eGo/510 threaded, just like my other batteries. They look just like my other batteries too, except they won't screw in right...

Battery Reading Fluctuates

Okay so I did look this up and it appears that other people have mentioned this specifically with sigelei mods but I didn't see any that were more recent. I look at my mod to see what my batteries charge looks like to see if I need to go ahead and change batteries and I swear to God the thing starts jumping around as though the batteries are charging themselves and then going back to the 40%. Apparently that's a problem that the mods have and isn't something to be concerned about but it freaked me the heck out. They're doing just fine now that they're in their external charger thingy but I just want to make sure that that's not a sign of something going wrong with the batteries that it's just my mod being weird I've checked the connections and everything to make sure it was clean and that the batteries were fine and not dented or unwrapped and everything looks good. I just need some assurance that the batteries were not like failing or that a regulated mod would shut itself off if batteries were jumping around like crazy in reality if that's even possible
For clarification it was doing this when I was not firing it

Coil Master Tester Drained A Battery

This is the 521 mini V2 that will meter or fire a coil. There's a 3-way switch, with off in the middle.
I was sure that it was turned off, but in handling the kit bag, the switch must have been pushed and turned on. Even with no atty on the tester, it completely drained an 18650 battery.

This was confirmed on a multi-meter. 0 volts.
I know that this battery is done, but it's interesting that my charger completely ignored it.

Based on this, I'd recommend not storing the tester with a battery in it. It probably already says that in the instructions. Maybe there's one person out there that didn't know this already, so here it is.

18650 Battery Health Question.

Is it ok for the battery if I keep charging it when it reaches half way or 2/3rds left? Or is it usually recommended to fully discharge and then charge it all the way. Device I'm using is an rdna 40.

Best Way To Recharge My Molicel P26a

LONG STORY:
Following a previous thread (Question about battery and coils (Swag II)) I have been using Molicel P26A with my two Swag II's for a couple of months.
I purchased four batteries but I have been using only two of them. I always keep them in the Swags, since I use the Swags to recharge them. Practically I keep one of the Swags under charge while I am vaping with the other one.
I find this routine very convenient however I am wondering if that is the best way to recharge them. While a the begining both batteries were working quite well until they reached a 20% level, now one of them seems to be very weak as soon as it reaches 50%, and for that reason I have decided that it was time to replace it.
The other one is still Ok.

SHORT STORY:
Is it ok to recharge the P26A's with the Swag II's or should I use an external charger? Would an external charger significantly improve the life of the batteries?
Also, can an external charger fix a battey that seems to have lost 50% of its capacity.

Some Series 18650 Questions

I bought my Sigelei 100w Plus a few days back and ordered 2 Sony VTC4's on my same order (I'm confident they're legitimate, I've bought some before) to be able to marry them together and use them with my Sigelei. Upon receiving the batteries, I labelled one A, and one B and put them into my charger at the same time (charger was off, put both in and turned it on), one battery is slightly more charged than the other (it's 2/3 bars, while the other is still 1/3). I'm a bit worried about using married batteries, I understand rotating A and B in my Sigelei and charger but will they be the same charge when they're done? They're new batteries and they both went on at the same time yet one of them is charging a little bit faster.

When both of the batteries are fully charged, will they be safe to use and cycle accordingly? I heard about if one battery has even a tiny bit less, the batteries will take an uneven load and it will make it risky. How do I ensure that these batteries remain married?

Best Deal On High-end Batteries? Who Knows Where To Look?

So, I know that the Sony VTC batteries were the like "Go-to" battery. But they are being faked a lot and are hard to come by some authentic ones.

So whats the next best option?

I have a few different batteries and I definitely can tell the difference in the quality of the hit, and the life of the battery.

I have a red IMR 2000 mAh 18650 and it hits the worst out of all of my batteries.

Then I have a blue samsung battery (Can't really read the writing) but I can see it says 25r on it. This one hits decent.

Then I have a green 2600 mAh battery. Its a beast. Hits like a champ and lasts long. I would like to find a similar battery to this one. Im guessing this is the Sony VTC 5.

I really want to find something that is just as good as the Green one.

Does anyone know where to find these or a similar battery that is 2600mAh 30 amp? If so, are there any deals going on online where I could get a good price? Id like to order some new batteries.

Thanks for the help all!

Edit. One more question. Anyone know the difference between the Amps on each of the batteries? Just from guessing id say the red is 20 amps, blue is 25, and the green is 30? Does that sound right?
