Who Has The Ipv4 That Actually Likes It?

Hi all
Couldn't find the topic on VW mods
so I thought I'd post my question here..
I have two IPV4's that have been great running kanthel builds in the power mode,
but I really don't see a difference running the NI200 Atlantis coils in joules mode using the Temperature Control feature of the IPV4..In fact I get a burnt taste in the Atlantis after vaping a tank of juice running the .12 ohm NI200 coil from Vapor Shark..
Now the mod hits great with the kanthel coils in the Starre and Herkakes sub tanks and is great with the .2 ohm kanthel build in the Dark horse at 65w (power mode) but so far TC has been a real disappointment for me

Vapeonly Atlantis Ni200 Coils...

I was strolling through sweet vapes website and seen they had these Atlantis coils made by aspire.I plan on ordering a temp control mod this week and wanted some nickel coils to go with it I have the maganus/starre tank...well I seen that the vapor shark nickel coils are twice the price so I was wondering if any one had any experience with these. I heard the Atlantis coils would fit in the Maganus but didn't know if these would and I see the vapor sharks ni200 coils are 0.15 and the vapeonly coils are 0.25 would that be noticeable or have any effect such as having to use more watts or temperature? Ipv4 Tutorial

Hello everyone, I feel like I should post this in the Beginner's Thread. I bought an IPV4 today and it is my first temp control, non-built-in battery mod. I need help! LOL like with everything. I tell you my gear. The IPV4 of course, a Nitecore D2 charger, a pair of Imeren 18650 batteries, 5 Kanger OCC nickel coils and 2 .3 Atlantis coils. Along with an Atlantis V1 and pair of Kanger subtanks. Now I know, some of you are probably thinking people like me shouldn't have temp control but please humor me I want to learn.
Basically my first question is where do I start? How do I get to temp control on this mod? Where should I set it for these Nickel coils? Should I leave it at the same setting for regular coils? How do I get to joules? Where should I set those? Ok, let's just start with that. Is there a place online I can get a tutorial?
Sorry to be like a kid trying to learn to ride a bike, but as anyone that owns one of these things knows, the instructions don't say much. Thank you all for any help given, I know there are some real pros here.

Just Thought I'd Share

well I finally got it in the mail today. And have really enjoyed vaping on it. Right now I just got the atlantis V2 on powerful plus mode. My atlantis nickel coils should be in Thursday so I can try out temp control in a couple of my tanks. I've also decided to try my hand at building even though I swore I never would. Got the mutation X V4 on the way as well. Hopefully this is a decent deck to build on. I am not a beginner really, I have wrapped a couple coils for my buddies and did a few builds on their attys. This vaping thing can get expensive! Vape they said, it'll be cheaper than smoking they said....pffft. lol

Hand Check!!!

i wanna see what the ecig forum guys are vaping on tonite!! starting with me I'm vamping my ipv4 with my kanger sub ohm mini running the ni200 nickel coil head vaping on one of my favorites for the last week or so... the kennedy by conspiracy vapors and next tank it reserved for some good ole milk and honey by cosmic fog
Now lets hear what you guys are on!!!
have a great rest of the night and happy vaping!

A Tale Of Two Old Setups...

Greetings,

maybe I was bored. Maybe to much doom and gloom on all the bans of new gear and the shipping of it. I started to think - why not have some fun with some of the stuff I already have?

Cases in point - the two rigs in the picture above. I believe that all the hardware (mods and tanks) are over 5 years old. The setup on the left has a bit of a story about it.

Sitting on my desk is a few old tube mods that I wonder what it would be like to use again. I found a old (I think KFv3) tank laying around, built a very low mass 2ohm coil in it, filled it up and went and tried it out on my old 15W tube mods. Sadly not a one of them liked the KFv3 and would register the 2ohm coil. So what to do? I had a old Evic that surely could be put into power mode. While I was not to surprised that it all works (I've actually refilled the tank a few times and replaced the battery once) the vape is more restrictive than I tend to like and be it the build (or the 10W power mode) I don't really like the flavor of the unflavored juice with this. Another negative is that while it is top fill, there is no juice flow control so the atomizer get flooded each time the tank is refilled. While I could (and have) used it in a pinch, I can get 1-2 tank fills on a single 3000mah battery.

The setup on the right represents some historical firsts for me. Years ago when I first got into rebuilding a Lemo2 was one of three tanks I bought when I started. It was also my first top fill tank. Sitting under it is my first ever Dicodes mod (a #6). This mod is setup in TC mode with 380F temperature setting and 23W.

Be it the better tank or the use of TC mode, the setup on the right provides a good vape. The 26650 has enough mah to easily allow me to vape the tank dry (takes me most of the day) and since years ago I got Dicodes very over priced charger, I just drop the mod in the charger at the end of the day and its ready for more vaping in a few hours.

So, anyone else putting to use or having some fun with +5 year old vaping gear? How do you like it?

Anyone Own Or Ever Vaped The Smok Tct Pro?

So while home sick (yes I was actually sick) today, several reviews sold me on the SMOK TCT pro as THE tank for my IPv4. I was looking for a high watt tank that could also make use of temp control. Didn't want another Atlantis and the Kanger subtank is good but it's just not quite enough for me in temp control mode. Anyone have any experience with the SMOK TCT or VCT pro tanks? Please share!

Why Do Cotton Based Coils Hate Me?

I can only get about a 1-2 day life span out of coils that are organic cotton based. After 1-2 days, they start seeping a dark colored liquid into my tank and ruining the juice. This has happened in my Atlantis tank running Melo coils vaping at 32 watts and my Herakles tank running 55 watts. Keep in mind I vape about 7-10ml a day. Juices are 70VG/30PG or 80VG/20PG all at 3mg nic.

On the flip side, if I vape old school Atlantis coils at 32 watts on the same juices, I get a full week before this happens.

Any ideas on how to make cotton coils last longer?! For this reason, I can't wait to get my Lemo 2 in. I'll be able to rewick daily and not worry about cost.

The way things are going, I am losing so much money on coils it's nuts. See picture to see whats happening.

Oh yeah, this is happening on all kinds of juices I vape. Mt Baker Vapor, Vista Vapors, 4 Pillars, The Milk Man. Some are budget juices - others are premium. No matter what juice I use, it happens.

The BIGGEST killer is Zeus Juice with 80%PG, 20%VG. This juice kills a coil in one tank full. I'm guessing the sweeteners in that juice do it.

It's frustrating because I LOVE my Herakles tank running at 55W but if I have to replace the coil every 1-2 days, that's SO expensive.

Xpro M80

So here's my question. First I'll start with some background to hopefully avoid questions in the future. I've been vaping for about 3 months. I have a eleaf 30w, that I usually use a nautilus/ atlantis tank on. I also have a sigelei 150w, that I use a plume veil and dark horse on. So my question is that I really like the cool vape that I get with the eleaf on my tanks. I have been tinkering with the the 150 w/ the dark horse and I finally think I found a build that gives me that same feeling. I would like to know thoughts on if the M80 would assist me in accomplishing this further on my builds with the TC.

Got A New Tank..

So I decided to get another clearomizer and the Donner by Amigo Itsuwa is what I got to replace my Aspire Atlantis.....
So here are my thoughts on it and it's just My Opinion:

Holds 4mls of juice - holds more juice so I'm not refilling my tank 2-3 times a day
.50hm Coil head is cotton & Kanthal wire & a wire mesh around the opening for better wicking ( You can use Atlantis coil in this thing and it's better in this tank then it is in the Atlantis) It comes with 2.
There's no notches or trying to center the coil head. It sits in the Clearo and just sucks juice lol
Great Flavor sub-ohm - The flavor you get from this is amazing, I was a little taken back bc I chose a sour raspberry and it really was more sour tasting then in any of the other tanks I had the same juice in
I personally like the drip tip but it's not for everybody
Adjustable air flow control is a wide slot - It's a slide around, but the draw from almost closed to full open is nice any way you wanna vape.
Vape production is great I use 10/90vg - 20/80vg

There are some things I don't like about this tank...
Priming the coil is a process - on a fresh coil the directions state to drop a few drops onto the coil, then once tank is filled let sit for 1-2 minutes prior to use. On your second fill of the clearo you have to let the coil sit for 2 minutes b4 use....I kinda wanna fill and vape, not fill and wait
Holding 4mls of juice is great, but if you can't vape 1ml of juice at the bottom of your tank it sucks. You can't vape the last ml of juice because the coil head sits to high so it can't wick the remaining juice.
I did find that when I put the Atlantis coil head in that the wicking was alot better then the coils that it came with, now this could be bc I am using a high vg juice.

So let's talk price....I bought this at a B&M so I paid A LOT more then what I've found online.
My price was $45.00
I have found these online for as little as $23.00
and for this price I would probably buy it again, not for $45.00
Iv'e been vaping on this for about a week now, I've gone through 2 coil heads in 4 days & now put the Atlantis coil head in it and am having better luck with it.
So there's my thoughts on my new clearomizer.

The Ego One. Amazing, Yet Awful

So I purchased the eGo One after hearing amazing reviews of the device. I use an Aspire Atlantis on an MVP 3 but needed something more portable for work/going out. I was more than impressed with the eGo One using the .5 ohm coil, and equally so with the 1 ohm coil. The battery life is great, the flavour is perfect and the vapor production is unexpected. However, within 2 hours of using the .5ohm coil, the vapor began to taste burnt, more than on any other wick I have burnt. So until I could get hold of another I used the 1 ohm coil. 24 hours that one lasted. Joyetech said they would send me replacements free of charge, but while waiting for this I went to my local shop and bought another .5 coil. 1 HOUR LATER, it's frazzled. Wether I'm just being unlucky or the device is faulty I don't know, but I am incredibly disappointed. It's not through a lack of priming or using the wrong liquid, I'm an experienced vaper and had fully primed the wicks for 20minutes minimum and was using a 50/50 juice. This device had great potential, but it will be going in the bin for now (except the battery, which even does a great job on my Atlantis)
