Mech Mod...regulated Vv/vw..which Is Better?????

Hey everyone. This mighht be a dumb question but why would you want a mech mod over a regulated vv/vw mod?? I have an istick 50wand i love it... i wanted a regular round mod but all of them are not vv/vw. I just cant figure why you would want a mod that you couldnt control.. please explain pros and cons of each because im confused!!!! Thanks everyone

Battery Revival

Herro!

So, I always used to use mech mods from about 6 months to a year and a half into vaping. For the last 6 months I've been on regulated (iStick 30W and 50W).

When I switched to regulated I retired my mech mods and 18650 batteries to the closet. I made sure they were all around 50% charged because I heard from someone on here that was the best condition to leave them.

Well recently I've had this curiosity to try them again, only for at home use, mainly for the novelty of it.

So, my question is, what will I have to do to revive these batteries? Are they safe to just throw back on the charger and use when fully charged? Or are they not safe to use?

Batteries: 4 Sony VTC 4's (all were acquired about a month before I stopped using mechs), 2 XTAR (Sony) VTC 4's (about a year old now) , 2 MXJO 2500mah (20A LG's) (about a year old now).

Let me know! Thank you!

Mech Mod Question

So I've been vaping now for almost 5 months. I own 4 different regulated mods, many sub ohm tanks and a few rda's. I'm wanting to pick up a mech mod, but not sure which would be better. I'm pretty much looking at either the nemesis clone or the stingray x clone. Any thoughts on which is better, or any other mechs that I may want to look into?

Mechs Vs. Regulated (subjective Preferences)

A little background first to clarify what I'm getting at...

Like most I started with cigalikes and ego style batteries. Eventually, getting into rebuilding (kayfuns mostly) got me wanting something more substantial. First regulated device was an MVP V2. First Mech was a Panzer clone. Keep in mind this is all long before sub-ohm vaping was a thing you could go buy replacement coils for. Currently my lineup is a Nemesis, and two isticks 20w and 50w.

For obvious ohm's law reasons, the sub-ohm stuff works fine on either a mech or a VV/VW device. There's definitely more ability to fine tune the experience with the regulated mod. So why then do I find that more often I'm grabbing the Nemesis? I'm not even really sure how to articulate why I prefer it. Something about it seems more smooth, analog, real. Is this the result of no PWM (pulse width modulation) or other methods a chip uses to play "nanny state" to my vaping experience???

Anything built to higher ohm loads (1.3 - 1.5) goes right on the 20w, again for obvious reasons. I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same natural inclination to either mechs or regulated devices. To be clear it's not that the experience is bad or that I'm having any particular issue when not using a mech. It's just a more satisfying vape when I do. Maybe it's entirely psychological, but it feels like 'free range' as opposed to domesticated electrons. I'm eager to see what the denizens of ECF have to say on the subject!

Neeeeed Something New.

Ok, so I don't "need", but all +6 month vapers reading a vape post on a vape forum know the deal. I want!! Istick 30w with aspire nautilus - pub covered. Same istick with Kanger nano - on the go cloud blast covered. 2Xrda and mech mod - flavour and sofa clouds sorted.
The question: To all you mod and tank collectors, what next? I'm thinking a +50w pv with an rba. Eg. Smok m80 pro plus and Lemo drip. looking for lung hits only and both mod and tank for sub £100. Or should I wait for temperature control to be perfected. Or should I just buy a Cherry Bomber and another cool mech + batts and stay old school. Ahhhhhhh.

Mech Mod Help?

Hello very basic question I love dripping and do it all day my one problem is with the mech mods I have I cannot place them down with out locking them or they fire sometimes anyone know of a good clone that will not fire when placed down maybe one with a recessed button of sort?

I currently have a F U and a Stingray infinity

Getting New Hardware This Week...don't Know What To Go With. Halp!

So I currently have an ipv mini that goes to 30 watts, a couple mech mods I never use anymore, and a Hana knockoff (didn't know, or wouldn't have bought. Got it back when I was a clueless noob).

I am insanely jealous of, and constantly use, my friend's Sig 150watt. What I like about it is just that, the wattage. I love vaping at 65-70 watts. Sometimes higher. So I know m just for the sake of saving money later, I want something that gets AT LEAST 100 watts.

But now these tempature regulated mods have hit the market and I have heard wonderful things about the flavor. But is there any that go above 100 watts worth knowing about?

So now I don't know if I should get the Sig 150, the ipv 3...or go down in wattage some but get tempature control. Any suggestions, help, and wisdom is greatly appreciated.

Tempted By...

I've been tempted by temp control. I am an avid mech user. I love my REO. I love my SMPL. I love my G-box. I have a 40w VF clone (no temp control), but I haven't been using it that much. My local B&M now sells The VaporShark rDNA40, but is temp control really worth it? I've been having a heluva time with my subtanks - they always taste burnt now even at low wattage. Would the nickel be any better?
The other thing is, if it's worth it, do I replace the chip in my VF with a real chip with the temp control (I really stink at soldering) or just say to heck with it and get a Shark?
Need input...lots of input. lol

Istick Issues

I just got my new istick 20w and I'm having some problems. I'm really new to vw mods I've been strictly mech for over a year. so I put on my kayfun with a 1.4 ohm build and it maxes out at 12w any higher and I get a protection message. I put on my patriot at 1ohm and it won't fire at all. I cant figure out why it won't go any higher.

Regulated Telescopic Mod For Sub Ohming?

Does that exist?

I am currently using a IPV2S/Atlantis. I LOVE this setup but its just a tad bulky. I'm a girl and my bag is rather small so I was hoping to have something that I can just slip in . Something that produces 40-50watts is sufficient enough and it HAS to be regulated. I've always loved the way a telescopic mod looks but hate how most are unregulated.

You guys know of any? Seems like they are either unregulated or it produced up to 30watts only

80 Watts Or 150 Watts?

The 65 watt M65 I got is defective. So I'm returning it and replacing it with a new mod. But I'm stuck between 2 mods. The Smoktech X-Pro M80, or the Vape Connexx 150. Both look great but I'll give you a quick run down on the pros and cons of both.

Smoktech M80

Pros - 4400 mAh built in battery, 80 watts max power, .2-3.0 ohms, pass through vaping, decent sized and stylish.
Cons - only 80 watts, built in battery, 4400 mAh.

Vape Connex

Pros - like the bulkyness of it, huge firing button, 180 day warranty, interchangable 18650, magnetic back, .1-3.0 ohms.
Cons - no pass through, never heard of the brand.

So should I stick with a brand I know? Or risk it and get a really powerful mod? Any input is appreciated. Thanks y'all.
