Sony Vtc5 Problem

I have a Sony vtc5 that won't charge. It was charged and working fine. It wasn't hot, did not vent, it just stopped working. Any reason this would happen? It's not my rda or mod because I put my other vtc5 in the mod and it fired just fine.

Sony No Longer Making Vtc4 And Vtc5 Batteries?

According to this link that Nick Green posted to Facebook, Sony is apparently stating officially that they are no longer making VTC4 and VTC5 batteries...

Again With The Batteries

Me again with battery questions

I ordered and paid for Samsung 25Rs from my local vape shop. They just informed me that they made a mistake and that battery is not currently available, and have offered me these as replacement:

Sony VTC5

Sony VTC4

LG HE2

LG HE4

Should i take any of these or should i wait for the samsungs to become available again? (who knows when that will be)

I'm leaning towards the VTC5 just looking for some confirmation from you guys that that is the right choice !

Oh and i should mention, the top wattage i will be hitting is 30w and i do not sub ohm.
Thanks!

Defective Sony Vtc5?

intstalled 2 sony vtc 5's in my new nitecore d2 that i just received today. both bays indicated low charge with 1 bar on each meter. 3.67v for bay 1 and 3.62v for bay 2. an hour later bay 1 has 3 bars, 3.88 v and bay 2 has 1 bar, 3.71v. seems bay 2 is not charging. is the charger or battery acting up?
after bay 1 finishes can i install the battery not charging in bay 1 to test.

Gurgling Nautilus

I have my Aspire Nautilus on my iTaste MVP 2.0 at 11 watts, running a 1.6ohm coil. I have also used it on my Nemesis mech mod with either an LG HE2 or a Sony VTC5 (I already know that mech's aren't ideal for tanks, but it was working really great). Everything has been fine, but now I'm noticing a bit of gurgling. Am I just under-powering the coil?

Battery Revival

Herro!

So, I always used to use mech mods from about 6 months to a year and a half into vaping. For the last 6 months I've been on regulated (iStick 30W and 50W).

When I switched to regulated I retired my mech mods and 18650 batteries to the closet. I made sure they were all around 50% charged because I heard from someone on here that was the best condition to leave them.

Well recently I've had this curiosity to try them again, only for at home use, mainly for the novelty of it.

So, my question is, what will I have to do to revive these batteries? Are they safe to just throw back on the charger and use when fully charged? Or are they not safe to use?

Batteries: 4 Sony VTC 4's (all were acquired about a month before I stopped using mechs), 2 XTAR (Sony) VTC 4's (about a year old now) , 2 MXJO 2500mah (20A LG's) (about a year old now).

Let me know! Thank you!

Chargers

Hey all,

I've been using the Intellicharger I2 for a while, and recently I've noticed it's taking a long time to charge batteries. Keep in mind I realize that the Amp output is distributed across two batteries, etc, but I feel as though its time for an upgrade.

I regularly use Samsung25R's and occasionally VTC5's, (18650) and I was wondering what your opinions are on the best charger I can buy. The criteria I'm looking for ideally a

External transformer
Fast charging time
LCD screen
Ample venting
Autostop cuttoff when batteries finished

Thank you in advance!

Confirmed Reason To Look For Safe Batteries...

This happened just last night. Before bed last night, I decided to check the forums and email. My wife already was asleep. I decided to load up my dripper and vape while browsing. I put in a freshly charged battery. I was running a .2 ohm build in an older Efest 1600 V1 (rewrapped sony VTC3). I took a few puffs as I tried to load the website.... the internet was down, so I locked the mod, and went to the router to check things out.... After working with the router for about 5 minutes, I realized, I wasn't getting a signal from the internet provider.... so, I sat down to do some maintenance.... Through the light of the computer monitor, I saw some vapor coming from the drip tip..... the mod was NOT locked, and it was continuously firing for 5+ minutes. I went to pick it up, and it was too hot to pickup, so I turned it on the side so it would stop firing..... I grabbed a towel, and took it into the bathroom put it in the sink and turned on the water.... It sizzled when the water hit the mod. After a few seconds, I unscrewed the bottom button and took the battery out.

The mod cooled down battery stayed in the water for a bit. It was so hot, it started to split the shrink wrapping (it continued to shrink it until it split). The mod was fine, battery was fine... no bulging, smell, etc. I still might not use the battery just in case. turned out, I had not locked the bottom ring.

So, continued advice... do not vape a pulse rating, always vape continuous rating and use safe batteries.

Battery Heating Up, Coils Not Firing

Hey guys, sorry if I post this in the wrong place, but I didn't find a sub forum that seems appropriate.

So, I have a BCV Surfrider clone (hybrid) and it has been working great but all the sudden this last weekend I noticed one of my batteries just stopped working.. not a big deal. So I put in another battery. Still not working. So I was playing around and I noticed that my button got extremely hot. I took the battery out and noticed that it was hotter than I've ever felt.

I was playing around with it to see if something is wrong, but everything seems fine. I accidentally put in the battery backwards and it worked fine like how it used to.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this?

Hi.

My fetch pro stop working. Hubbys stop first i can charge his and its fine take it off the charger and nothing. Then today my screen went dim i can't even get a hit from it. Question what is the best device out there. He had a smok wocket after 2 months his stop charging and my wocket still works fine. Need a better brand then smok any good suggestion. HELP

Looking For New Batteries.

Ok, one of my 30A batteries went kaput, and now I'm left with one last Sony VTC4. It's time for me to get a new set of batteries for my dripper. I'd like to ask your opinions as to which to get...but here's some criteria.

First, Sony is ruled out. There are too many fakes out there, and even an honest vendor can get duped. Since I will use a 20A build on it, I want to make sure they're rated at what they say they are. So no Sony's, even though I know they're good batteries, I dont want to take the risk.

Second, IT has to be 30A or better CONTINUOUS. It has to be explicitly stated that it has a continuous discharge rate of 30A or higher. Pulse ratings do not count.

third, 2000 mAh or higher.

I am thinking of going with MXJO 2500 mAh 35a continuous... But I don't know their track record.

Another option is the Efest 35a 2800 mAh batteries.

Any other advice would be welcome. Sources to buy would be nice as well.

Thank you in advance.
