3rd Month Analog Free, Struggling And Need Help.

Hey guys!

Couple different issues here. I bought an e-cig on a whim, and a couple days later was analog free. That was going on three months ago. First week was tough, after that was easy. The pride of being an ex-smoker was enough motivation to stick with the vapes. Of course, I upgraded in equipment quickly and primarily vape RDA's through a sigeili 150 that I usually use between 50-70 watts with the rda, less with an atlantis or subtank mini.

The issues began a few weeks ago. Out of nowhere, my taste buds changed. My "set" flavors all of a sudden started becoming very harsh and awful. Changing to a different flavor from a different vendor (also went from 3mg to 6) seemed to help a little. After getting used to the new stuff, the old stuff I had tasted a little better too....though I cut one flavor down about 50/50 with straight VG (I typically use a max vg or 70vg 30pg mix). I vape 10-15ml per day.

The second issue is, even with all of this equipment producing massive vapor, it still doesn't seem to scratch the itch. I've been depressed lately, a lot. I crave analogs like there's no tomorrow. I feel like I no longer have any pride or motivation to be a non-smoker. I was actually getting up to go get a pack yesterday since in my mind I couldn't come up with a good reason not to......until I thought of my 2.5 year old son and decided not to for him.

So my questions a
-Did my taste buds literally change overnight like that????? Different flavors, different tanks, different RDA's, different batteries....they all tasted bad.
-Why the hell would the demons of addiction decide to start attacking in the third month when the previous urges were quickly passing?

Help!

Salty/sweet Taste All Vapes Flavors Why?

sup, thanks for reading . I'm vaping for 3 years now, never had problem until now. I taste saltiness on my tongue after vaping for more than 10 seconds. I thought it might be coil so I changed them all. Maybe juice so i tried different ones different flavor. same thing.

I vaped for 3 years just Pomango and Menthol. Never had that problem. Recently I got into DIY Mixing so i ordered 14 different flavors and started experimenting. Mostly Peach, Mango, sweet mango CAP, Green Apple, Pomegranate. never went over % than whats recommended. After sweet Mango flavor CAP 5% solo flavor it started. I thought maybe its the mango flavor so Itried others and same thing, even Menthol. So its definitely something with my taste. I tried to eat lollipop candy and its there but barely noticeable because of the sugar from lolipop. Hmmmm.... Is it because i started experimenting with other flavors and I have so called"Vapers tongue " thingy?

When first time I tried mango and green apple , OMG it was spectacular taste!!!after few weeks now just salt mix with touch of sweetness and a litlle flavor on my tongue and I do let it go thru my nose and stuff too , to get most out of vaping experience, menthol is the strongest from them all that stays but its not the same as it was few weeks ago.

anybody had same issue? I found the thread from 2011 the guy had same issue.

18 days vaping - all juices now tasting salty sweet, but not in a good way.

I do feel,menthol,peach and other fruits flavor for 3-6 sec just after 10 seconds it becomes kinda salty on my tongue and lets see, umm upper patella of the jaw you call it? yeah... and im loosing flavor, very frustrating....

anyone can explain that or had similar experience?

One Month In So Far And Not A Single Problem

I smoked my last analog cig exactly one month ago today, when a vape kit arrived in the mail.

I still have more than one pound of unopened tobacco lying around in a drawer somewhere, just to remind myself of the past, and to prove that I don't desire it at all, even when it's in close proximity.

This post is perhaps a little bit boring, because I don't really have any issues to report. Everything is working out great with vaping, I haven't had any cravings at all for analog cigs, not once. I was a 2 pack per day smoker for 30 years.

I'm currently at 18 mg Nic, and I'm in no big rush to step down, but eventually, in maybe a few months time, I will step down to 12 and keep it at that level for a few months. I eventually plan to be 100% nicotine free.

Quitting analogs and switching to vaping is one of the easiest things that I've ever done. The only thing that I regret is that I didn't do it a few years ago.

Hey Everyone!! Some Juice Talk?

Hey guys, pretty new here only one previous post...
Was having problems with my K100 & Mini Nautilus combo for vaping, that's why I originally signed up!!
Talked about it with members & found my K100 was ultimately the problem, upgraded to a IPV Mini & I'm vaping like a king

& that's the issue so now I'm vaping about 6ml a day, I just smashed through a 15ml 12mg nicotine Cinnabun & 15ml 0mg nicotine Cinnabun.
(Mixing the two gives me great flavor & the right amount of nicotine hit)
So the point of this post was...

Where do you guys buy Juice?
( I usually buy from a local smoke shop about 10$ per 15ml )
Is that expensive ?
I've looked online & factoring shipping price I need to buy 3-4 bottles + to be saving money & I've bought online before, ( ordered 60$ in samples & the flavors were horrid in my opinion I guess that online vendor just isn't my taste ? )
So I'm just wondering is 10$ every 2-3 days the best I can do juice wise ?
Or are there some trusted online vendors you guys can agree on with good flavors & good prices?

I'm currently smoking from a local vendor I believe ( MadHatters )
& love there flavors.

Already I Can't Deal With High Nicotine.

Tomorrow I will be entering my fourth smoke-free week. I started out with 12mg Green Smokes which at the time seemed mild even though I had been of 1 PAD light tobacco smoker for many many years. Since then I have moved to mvps and tanks using mainly 6mg liquid, bought or made. Last night I found a box of the 12mg Green Smokes lying around and on a whim thought I would try one. I very nearly choked!! The 12mg hit my throat like an atom bomb and I was hacking for half an hour straight.

It's amazing isn't it. I rarely inhale while vaping - don't feel the need to. And yet I am satisfied and I feel I am pretty much getting over my nicotine addiction without even trying. I shall probably go on being addicted to the vaping because it is a pleasurable activity in itself but I can see myself going nicotine free in the not too distant future.

So my advice to anyone just starting on this journey - get yourself some good equipment and some nice liquid. You'll forget all about analogues in no time.

A Reborn Vaper Looking For Advice.

Hi forum,
I've been a smoker for 25 yrs. 2-3 PPD of lights. 7 yrs ago I started to vape and was able to cut back to 10 analogs a day. I used KR808 with cartos and then upgraded to Ego's with cartos and later tank atomizers. Dripping was never my game. A year and a half later, I stopped vaping and went back to cigs. Why? I got tired of charging, filling, leakage, dry burnt hits, modding ...etc. And I was not getting the satisfaction I needed.
A couple of weeks ago, I thought why not give it another try. So I got my boxes of eliquid and batteries out of the closet. I was surprised that all my Egos were still working (the KR808's are all dead). What's more surprising is that the eliquid is still good after 5 or 6 yrs. The flavor is still as good as it was. And the nicotine is still there. The TH, peppery taste and the buzz are still the same. So here I am, vaping again and I already cut back my cigs use to 10-15 per day.
I wanted to check the ecig world of today. And what's better than ECF. I've been at ECF for 6-10 hrs daily for a week now. And omg what a change!! VV, VW, TC, tanks, rebuildables, Subohms, NET, WTA, mods, mods and even more mods. Amazing! Hats off to the ECF family. I don't think all these advances would've been possible without ECF. Ideas are born here.
With all these advances I'm hoping that I'll be able to quit cigs completely. But it's really confusing and I need advice from the veterans here. As to my vaping style, I inhale M2L, use 70/30 to 40/60 pg/VG most of time. I chain vape !! 24 mg is the least that works for me. 36 mg is better. I like a warm (not hot) vape. I need a good balance of vapor and flavor. I'm not into mechs, rebuildables, dripping or modding. I like hassle free setups. fill, plug and vape away.
I want 2 setups. One for work and stealth vaping. Should be smallish (Ego size), does not look ridiculous, consistant and easy to use. box is ok but should be small. It should still have options that will enhance the experience. The second setup is for use at home. maybe a high end VV VW with TC. Damn! that Sx mini looks great. /But i'll wait before throwing away $200.
Sorry for the long post. But what suggestions and tips can you give for these 2 setups?
TIA

Menthol Addiction Seems To Be Gone!

I smoked menthol cigarettes for 45+ years. Never cared for the taste or smell of cigarette tobacco, but I liked my menthol. When I tried Blu ecigs, the tobacco didn't taste like tobacco, it just tasted "meh". The menthol flavor was more meh with a mentholesque hint, and they were a freaking hassle. When I finally realized this weird vaporizer shop across the street from the hospital and next to the ambulance company actually sold E-cigarettes, not those things you steam up a room with Vick's Vapo-Rub, I went in and told them about my experience with Blu's and asked if they had anything better. I walked out with an eGo starter kit, some fruit flavors, and some menthol and mint juice to mix with them. Success! Got my menthol/nicotine fix and was able to put down the combustibles! For a year and a half I've been doing the same thing only DYI: Fruit and menthol and/or mint. Just had to have that menthol feel or it didn't do the trick for me.

Last week I got a bunch of new flavors from MFS. I mixed up some desert coffee and a key lime pie concoction, no menthol or mint, and it was GOOD!

Now if only somebody would tell this stupid spell checker there is no "u" in flavor!

How Long Have You Been Smoke-free, And How Did Vaping Help You To Quit?

I've been smoke-free since 21st Jan 2018 - which is when I accidentally quit smoking

Long story short:
21st Jan 2018
Completely smashed up my ankle - needed two plates inserted, along with 15 screws. I was a smoker at that time

In the ER, they told me I'd need major surgery, that I no longer smoked, and slapped a patch on my arm

Spent 8 days in hospital before the surgery, chewing nic gum, damn near chewing nic patches, and when I could handle it, crutching to the bathroom, to vape on a lil innokin Endura T18 vape pen (that my parents brought into the hospital for me)

After the surgery, a few days later I was staying at my parents recovering. My mindset being - that I had to stop smoking for a month or two til my fractures healed, then I would start again

So I vaped my head off. Couldn't do much else, so I shopped my head off I ordered a bunch of different ejuice flavours and coils.

2 weeks down the track, I was actually enjoying vaping. I was vaping inside and it tasted a hell of a lot better than smoking.

2 more weeks later - I was a convert. My previous cunning plan went complely out the window - I was now a vaper, and would stay a vaper. Screw smoking

I ordered an upgraded starter kit, more ejuice, moved back home and healed. A month later I found ECF and the rest is history

Transition Flavors..how Long Do They Typically Last For You?

To keep this short I tend to change flavors in my delta 2 quite often and have a large assortment of flavors. That being said I never have enough replacement coils to keep switching them out fresh for flavor changing. I do wash my tank every time I change flavors but I don't wash the base and coil over fear of messing something up since I don't tend to let them dry before I decide to start vaping it again. I usually don't think about the transition flavor however I made the mistake today of switching from a caramel macchiato to a vanilla banana wafer pudding so as you can probably imagine the flavor is complete trash.. With all that cotton in the delta 2 coil, how long should I expect to have to vape like this? Ten toots in and I can still taste the macchiato like the cotton is reserving it just to teach me a lesson.

Done With Tobacco For Sure!

Today I decided to smoke just out of curiousity, (haven't touched a ciggy since the end of march) I thought it sounded like a good idea. Went in the bathroom and stood under the exhaust fan (in the shower lol) and lit one up. Blegh! Took about 3 puffs and threw it in the toilet. Never again. Tasted horrid, no nicotine buzz, and even after showering snd changing clothes I swear I could still smell it. I quickly took a hit from my Istick 30/Subtank nano, and still tasted like crap. Brushed my teeth and could still taste nasty smoke all day long. I don't know for sure if I'll continue to vape long term, but will definitely never smoke again, even the few I smoked before (a few a week). I don't know how smokers that haven't yet discovered vaping do it.

Its My Turn. One Year Vaporversery.

I want to thank ECF for making it fun, Joe for making it his life`s mission, and all the great down to earth people that make ECF the best place for a vapor outside of FT, :?)

Just for fun, here`s my first post on ECF:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Just saying High, LOL.
Been vaping for almost 4 months now. Was smoking for about 35 years with the last ten of them smoking some strong .... cigars (Pepin, Padron, Rocky P, you know). I was never able to look at vaping as a legitimate alternative until I tried to quite the last time. I had "quite" many times in the past, but after I got into my thirties success never lasted more then a few days. Than this last time I quit (Im 48 now), I quit cold turkey for 7 days. Thought the world was going to end but "I was quitting smokes!", ha, ha. Had all those self doubts the hardcore smoker goes through. Was really fighting the lack of sanity and then somehow I got me a ecig (My wife`s ecig (that she hardly used!!) I actually snuck it, ha, ha.
And Hot damn, if that thing did`nt work. Cravings were gone, Sanity felt so much better. It tasted like the waft of a dog turd, but I did`nt like smoking either 35 years ago either, its an acquired taste you know. Quickly found out that if you are`nt committed, and if you are`nt capable of problem solving, smoking will look so much easier. But I`m not one that gives up very easily, so I figured out what was wrong (Kanger quality control pretty much sucks, LOL), tried some more juices, got a bigger tank, tried some more juices.
Its been 4 months of real fun. This is FUN! I control the Nic intake, not the smoke. I can vape a little, I can Vape ALLOT! I really like 36MG but my stomach is very attuned to being able to tell me when to put it down. Me and My better half have been able to stay stinky free for just about 4 months and since that first week, I have`nt really even thought about a smoke. I mean I`ll say it again, THIS IS FUN!! I CAN APPLY CONTROL to the mix of getting my fix. I like Nic and this is the absolutely perfect delivery system for a control freak like me, LOL.
Now I have a Vamo, a KFL, a Panzer with a hypertank. Oh, I got a brass thingy with a brass Stilare on top chucking .4 ohms. A Kcig (Kamry bomb I call it). Getting rid of the plastic clearomisers as they are just too finicky and a pita at this stage. As soon as I can I`m getting a Fooger cause I know that is going to be the ONE. But hey, my first months was spent on a twister and a PT2, so I know it will work if you really, really want to quit.
And if this government gets too high and mighty and regulates that crap out of my Nic, then I`m going to get a box of decent cigars, and a couple gallons of PG, and they can stick their regulation right up the kyster!! This government needs a enema, and I hope they get it this November. Those misguided idiots that try to stuff "Not a smoking cessation program" down the mouth of the general public really piss me off, I mean I get hot and see red when these self righteous know it all`s start spewing their self righteous know NOTHING crap!
Have I said enough? LOL.
My handle means Vapehappy Randall B. Cause that`s the first thing I think of when I think about vaping, its makes me Vapehappy. But of course it makes lots of folks Vapehappy and so we`re all vapehappy and I`ll have to settle for that amalgamation of a handle, but its all good.
Glad to be here.
Randall
