Try A Cartomiser Yet????

I'm seeing many posts lately about people having problems, some majorly, with Clearo and Clearo tanks.

I just wanted to put it out there that there is another option that they may not have seen yet- cartomisers.

There are only a few makers of this product ( Boge, Smoketechs, etc..) but there aren't many posts about them simply because many of we users don't have issues using them, so nothing to post...

To find out more, there is a sub-forum here and many Utube vids plus many of us still use them happily on a daily basis.

I just wanted to put this out there for newcomers and such that may not be aware of another choice before thay return to cigs.

My Impression Of Some Post's

hi all,
i have been reading this forum every day for more than a year.
after some time i have come to the conclusion that some types of posts
are not necessarily what they see to be.
specifically posts in the new vaper forum where a poster claiming to be
new to vaping goes on and on extolling the virtues of their obviously advanced
set ups and the juice they use and on the other hand supposed new vapers
trashing the same or mostly the same set ups and juice.
i am beginning to think that most of these type posts are thinly veiled endorsements
or deliberate trashing of said set ups and or juice and have nothing to do with
the "new to vaping vapers" actual experience.
what do you good people think?,or is it tinfoil time?

regards

Is Ecf Addictive? Whats Your Average # Of Posts Daily?

I've been a wondering how much time some members spend on this forum and why? and do you think you're hooked?

Also, some (relatively) new members have already achieved over a 1,000 posts in a few weeks!!!!!!!!!

I figure it is a terrific place to grow your knowledge and (at the same time) help new members/vapors by answering their questions; but is there an issue here regarding 'status' or else something more elusive.......

My family think I spend too much time on it but my average posts are only around 2 posts a day, granted, mostly accumulated in the last few months.

What's your take on it?

Help With Dh's Set Up

It's been eons since I was last here. I've been happily puffing away on my eroll for a while now. Dh, on the other hand, he's having more trouble. The biggest problem is that he says pg is like breathing through a dirty respirator. So, his juice is thick. I've been setting him up with the eroll and adding some vodka to his juice to try to thin it out (I diy our juice). That, however, has been having various problems (he's been smoking again when he doesn't feel like screwing with it). He wants a set up that he doesn't have to fiddle with. I'm looking for something with an auto batt, doesn't cost an arm and a leg for parts, and will put up with 100% vg juice. Any thoughts? I haven't been keeping up on what's new since I've been so happy with the eroll. I currently have him using a 360 mah 510 auto batt with a clearo. Even if that works for him, I can't seem to find them anymore, so another solution must be found. TIA

Prizes! 15 Millionth Ecf Post...

A little over 18 months ago, we held a prize for the 10 millionth post on ECF…

Well, I’m very happy to say that we’ll soon be approaching the 15th million post and, exactly as we did last time, we’ll have prizes for this landmark.

Our registered suppliers have been extremely generous, and we've a whole host of prizes up for grabs. So, the way this will run is...

We will have one main winner and a number of runner ups. The main winner will be the post we deem to be the 15millionth, and the runner ups will be every (as yet undetermined) number of posts afterwards. The winner will get the first pick of the prizes on offer, and subsequent runner ups will get to choose in the order they come through. How does that sound?

I can’t tell you how much it means to me that this site I started on a whim 7 and a half years ago has become such an amazing living beast; a community that has been responsible for the increasingly global phenomenon that is vaping.

It’s worth thinking for a minute about these 15 million posts. Among them are some of the most important conversations in public health history. I don’t think this is an exaggeration; Conversations that have led to new products, conversations that led to lives changed, conversations that in aggregate have played a massive part in vaping entering the mainstream.

The future’s ahead, and the conversation continues, but I wanted to take this moment to say thank you!

Oh, and good luck!

Question From A Luddite

Hi Guys,

I've been vaping for 5 years or so. The main reason I quit smoking and took to vaping was I confess, not for my health, but for my purse. As we all know cigs are too expensive and I actually love vaping more than I ever liked smoking.

Anyway, I'm also set in my ways. Except for a brief foray into tanks, I have used low res cartomizers and have been happy. Now, I am finding it impossible to buy cheap Boge cartos so apparently while I have been happily vaping away without hanging out in the vaping community, the world has moved on and there are all sorts of new fangled products on the market. But, most of the new stuff is ridiculously expensive! I'm just a poor girl, I don't wanna buy fancy crap. Right now I am using an Iclear 16 tank and I gotta say it sucks compared to Boge cartomizers. I use a ton of juice (I make my own juice cuz it is wayyy cheaper) and the wicks only last a couple days compared to 2 weeks for cartos.....What gives?

Isn't there a CHEAP way to vape anymore? I don't wanna buy expensive mods, I use these 10 dollar pass-through rechargeable batteries and everything is cheap and hunky dunky....

Any suggestions on a cheap cheap cheap replacement for cartomizers?

Thanks!

Vaping Outside Of Walmart

So I'm outside of Walmart vaping (away from the entrance... basically where the employees smoke... cig butts everywhere) This woman walks by, stops and says "aren't you afraid that will hurt you" and I go into the "it's safe, it actually has nothing to do with this" and then she says "because I was really interested in vaping" (I thought she was going to tell me to go in the parking lot or something... she actually wanted to quit smoking) So I explained the whole deal about THC carts and "contamination", the bed rep from news media, ect. and she as very interested. I told her to search the internet and find the truth (how they are finally telling the truth) She was so relived and thankful. I may have just helped someone get off cigs, someone that was very interested in vaping and got scared. Happy ending (I needed that) I wonder how many other people want to quit smoking and just got scared because of the media BS. Kinda made my day

1000'th Post, And A Thank You!

This message will be my 1000'th post. I wanted it to be a thank you to all of ECF.. from the Lurking stage, to the helping others, it has all been a great experience. I'm not one for forums, but something about the vaping community kept me coming back here. I am proud to be a part of it, and glad I can help people in return.

To all that read this.. (unless you're a spammer)..... thank you.

So Why Is It?.....

So why is it that when someone posts a question in the new members or general vaping topics concerning any issue and they happen to mention that they are vaping at high wattages > ~75w the responses that they get are often times condescending and/or belittling of their choice to vape at such high wattages followed by recommendations that they don't do it instead of just addressing their question?
I understand about safety first but one of the things that I find fantastic about vaping is that we can find what works for us individually. We aren't pigeon holed into menthol or regular; filtered or non; lights or full flavored.
Why chastise someone for eating a well done steak just because you prefer medium rare?

I've Been Away Too Long !

Hello everyone ! Havn't been on the site here for awhile and a little discovery (probably known already to everyone in here but me !) made me think about the forum . Ordered an Itaste VTR kit yesterday which made all of my basic small sized clearos subject to "experimentation" ... I notice that if teaming up the most basic type of clearo (small pensized that holds only 2ml ) with a huge 2200 fat battery ,then drilling out the vent holes in the clearo to twice the size produces really huge clouds of vapor ... unless I vape one puff after another like a madman the clearo doesn't heat up or even dry hit as I assumed it would ... this little drilled config with an enormus battery seems like it will be nice for places where I dont want to worry too much about loss, damage, or the constant dropping I seem to achieve every time I take two or three bats and clearos outside like I would with the new Itaste ... Since I use no flavorings just straight VG , I'm interested to see how long it takes to burn up a coil with this 'Rube Goldberg' mock sub ohming ...

Cartomizers

Interested to know if anyone else uses cartos without tanks? Have been vaping for over 4 years now. Tried all sorts of toppers and always seem to return to Boge S/C's at 5.5 volts on my provaris or 5 volt Woo. All the best B.K.
