My Current Wattage Settings, Mvp3.0

Just curious what wattage you guys are comfortable with. I just got my Itaste mvp3.0. I have the Kanger Subtank Nano with a .5 ohm occ. The mvp recommends 25-30 watts for that. But the coil itself says 15-30 watts. Kind of confusing. Anyway I keep mine between 15-20 watts. Anything more heats the tank up too much, like I can feel the heat on my lip.

I just picked up a Kanger Genitank Mega also, haven't tried it yet but it came with 1.8 coils, so I'll probably start at about 6-7 watts and go from there.

I love this thing, so far very happy with my purchase, hopefully it holds up for a long time. I guess just want to see if I'm doing everything safely.

Confused On Kanger Coils

Ok so I know that kanger subtank .5 ohm coils are good for up to like fifty watts and the subtank 1.2 coils are good for up to 26 watts, my question is this kanger has released vocc coils pretty much the same coils they have for the aero tank , genitank ,etc except now they have organic cotton like the subtank coils. Is it safe to think that the 1,2 and 1.5 ohm vocc coils will be safe as the 1.2 and 1.5 subtank coils at the 26 or so watt range, if not how many watts are safe so I don't burn them to hell

Coil Ohms And Wattage Solution

Hello Been vaping about 2 years now
My setups are Vaporshark Rdna 30 Istick 30 watt and a provari 2.5 and a IPv mini v2 30 watt
So like many others I have been juggling with wattage I currently Use A couple of kanger subtank minis using the RBA and a kayfun v4 I've been all over the place building ohms but have settled on 1.2 - 1.4 ohms BTW I'm not into sub ohms
So after many months of different ohms and watts with the help of steam engine I have found I like my vape at a heat flux of around 175 so to get to this and I can't believe how simple it was I just take the ohms I am using such as 1.2 @ 12 watts = 178 heat flux 1.3 @ 13 watts = 178 heat flux and so on I can't believe it became that simple
So I suppose all it takes is to find what heat flux you enjoy and adjust from there
I never bought that what I have read thru the last 2 years that 14 watts is 14 watts no matter what ohms you use it seems to me there had to be more factors involved
Just my thoughts

Subtank @ 13 W .9 Ω - What's Your Setup?

I am running my Kanger Subtank mini rba deck on .9 ohm (spaced 4 wrap 28awg IIRC) at 13 watts and it is cloudy and flavorful. The OCCs were fine but I prefer the rba I think (even though I'm still a bit of a build novice). Many others seem to run it at 25+ watts and lower resistance. I had it at .5 Ω and ~19 watts was good, had dry hits above 23 watts. Now have dry hits above 15 watts at .9 Ω. I'm still playing around, but this current build/wattage is working awesome.

Other important factors:
Tobacco and vanilla DIY juice 4mg 50/50 PG/VG Organic cotton, standard wick Only had Subtank for 3 weeks Coming from BCC clearos Been vaping for 6 years Used to be mouth-to-lung, doing a lot of direct lung but still switching back sometimes What's your style with the Subtank? How are you running it? What's your wick-style? Dry hits? Wattage? Ω?

Why Would You Need Anything Better..?

I'm curious. I went from a crappy Evod, to a Vision Spinner 2, to and MVP3.0, and now have an istick 50w to go with my mvp. I use a couple kanger subtanks and an aerotank just for flavor choice. I feel like I would never need anything better or especially more powerful than these ever. The highest wattage I vape at is like 16.5 max. So I see lots of people saying these are good starter boxes, or that theres is 100 watts, and whatever else. Why? I'm seriously curious. I mean hell with my track record of ugrades it's not far fetched that I'll be one of those people one day lol. But right now, I feel like it can't get much better as far as flavor, power, and battery life. I know there are better, my question is why.

Proper/preferred Wattage Bvc Aspire Coils

Hey guys just wanted to get some input on my BVC coils and could I possibly be vaping at too high of watts I like to vape around 13 watts on my ipow2 kanger battery, is this too much ?

Taste Issues With Kanger Subtank Mini.....

I am new to the mod world and I entered the foray with an IStick 30 and a Kanger Subtank Mini. When I use an old cheapo tank that came off an earlier Ego my juice taste fine. It's a 2.7 ohm coil set at 7.5 watts at 4.5 volts. The problem is the taste with my Kanger hooked up. It is very harsh. I also do not get the same visible exhaust (sorry, but I can't think of another term ) I operate it at about the same watts. I have tried both a sub ohm coil and a 1.2 ohm coil. I have also tried different air intake settings. One thing to note: The cheapo tank gives me a much tighter draw (It's harder to draw in the air). I have adjusted the Kanger down to the smallest inlet and the resistance still seems very easy.

Would the difference in resistance of the coils affect the taste with running the same power. Do some juices just not taste good with different tanks? I must be doing something wrong. Maybe I assembled it wrong by leaving out something but for the life of me I can't see what? I did insert a little piece of cotton in one of the coils which was foreign to me.

Any ideas? Fire away and don't assume anything. Again, I am ignorant with these mods so I am learning here. Thanks a bunch

Kanger Subtank - Occ Heads Problem

My first .5 OCC coil only lasted 3 days . I put my device up to 25 watts and it totally fried it. A terrible burnt hit. I backed it back down to 20 watts and it was fine for a little while, but then another bad burnt hit. Down to 15 watts and I literally sucked hot particles in my mouth when taking a hit. ...? The cotton and/or coils are literally breaking apart? That's totally gross and I can only imagine, not that safe.

My second .5 OCC, I never put my device above 17 watts, keeping it at 15 watts for the most part. Within 4 days, same thing ... total burnt hit one day, sucking up hot particles the next?

What's going on? I thought I was supposed to be able to hit a .5 coil up to 30 watts ... Is sucking up hot particles from the coil normal? Should I just keep it at 12 to 15 watts and that's it, taking 1 to 2 second drags and that's it? Is it just a string of bad coils?

Thanks

EDIT: Thought I should mention that the juice I used for both coils was 50/50 watermelon. I hear it's better to use higher VG liquids with sub ohm tanks. But can that be part of the reason why the coils are being fried so quickly?

Question About Builds

So I decided to try a 1,6 ohm coil on kayfun v4 clone Tobecco and I am using 28gauge Kanthal with a cotton
wick on a Rdna 30 and its vaping well at 15 watts I have a kanger subtank mini coming in the mail and here goes my question
So the kanger subtank states that with a .5 ohm coil i could vape up to 30 watts but the voltage comes in at like 3.8 volts
I was under the impression that the rdna 30 needs at least 4 volts to work which kinda brings me to my second question
What is the point of of sub ohms? cant i just build a 2.0 ohm coil or something like that to achieve the results as if i was subohming
I am very confused on this
thanks for the replys in advance
Oh yea is a 1.6 ohm coil at 15 watts a normal build or any recommendations for the kayfun v4 for watts and ohms thanks again

New Vaping Gear, Pretty Happy

I'm almost two years into vaping and it has been great.

I've been using a VW Ehuge 35 watt 26650 mod with a Kanger Subtank. Its huge and heavy but the battery lasts a long time. Also been using an Innokin Coolfire 2 with a Gladius tank.

Figured it was time to upgrade. Been watching several review videos to see whats out there. A lot of new sub ohm tanks and they all seem pretty good.

I've never had a box mod and figured it was time. Bought a Cloupor T6 recently to put my Subtank on. The T6 is supposed to be a 100 watt device. The Kanger coil only goes to 30 watts so no big deal there.

I really like the T6. Pretty small for a 26650 mod. Surface is slippery though, need to get a wrap for it. Butons are nice any clicky. The battery cover has magnets which is nice, no screw driver needed. Feels solid and the internals are clean. Its thick and the 25mm Subtank fits nicely on it.

Recently after watching some videos, I came across a new kinda unknown Sub Ohm Clearo. Its the Freemax Starre Sub Ohm. .5ohm or .25ohm coils. Mine came with the .5ohm. The .5ohm is rated 20-60 watts and the .25ohm is rated 20-100 watts. Reviewers were all impressed with the vapor and taste of this device. So I ordered one.

Wow, OMG, this Freemax Starre rocks. Blows away my Kanger Sub Tank in vapor production and flavor. Holds 5ml and the air holes are huge. Surgical Stainless Steel and Surgical Cotton used in the coil. Amazing.

After some more research, I discovered the Cloupor T6 really doesn't put out 100 watts. Well, that makes sense as its only a single battery device.

So went to the local vape shop today and bought a Sigelei 150 watt to put the Freemax Starre on. Will order some .25ohm coils soon.

Lovin the Sigelei so far. Magnets on battery cover, comes with a silicone gel case, nice clicky buttons, takes 2 18650. Its taller and wider than the T6 but not as thick. One thing it lacks that the T6 has is a USB charging port.

The Freemax Starre fits perfectly on it. The Kanger Sub Tank is wider than the Sigelei but fits perfect on the T6.

Really enjoying both of these box mods.

Getting New Hardware This Week...don't Know What To Go With. Halp!

So I currently have an ipv mini that goes to 30 watts, a couple mech mods I never use anymore, and a Hana knockoff (didn't know, or wouldn't have bought. Got it back when I was a clueless noob).

I am insanely jealous of, and constantly use, my friend's Sig 150watt. What I like about it is just that, the wattage. I love vaping at 65-70 watts. Sometimes higher. So I know m just for the sake of saving money later, I want something that gets AT LEAST 100 watts.

But now these tempature regulated mods have hit the market and I have heard wonderful things about the flavor. But is there any that go above 100 watts worth knowing about?

So now I don't know if I should get the Sig 150, the ipv 3...or go down in wattage some but get tempature control. Any suggestions, help, and wisdom is greatly appreciated.
