Recommendation Gear For A Friend

I feel very comfortable with searching for different vape gear and choosing what I think would work best. I enjoy my gear and I know what type of things I like. My question is about what should I buy for a friend who is new to vaping, but a previous smoker?

I've narrowed it down to a few things.
Innokin MVP 20watt
Joyetech EGO One 1100mah
Joyetech Egrip
Kanger subtank nano would be the most versatile clearo

My objective to stay cost friendly and simple. If anyone could recommend anything similar or something I may have missed let me know. I'm trying to stay away from the istick and replaceable battery devices. I let the person a try a few of my setups and the one that appealed most to him was my freakshow mini single coil @0.7ohms on the SMPL clone, the battery voltage was around 3.9ish at the time. He is not looking to become a hobbyist and has no interest in blowing clouds.

I'm leaning toward the MVP20watt and the Kanger subtank nano the most right now, but feeling the MVP3 would be an even better choice for the device. Let me know if you have any suggestions, I will be buying soon.

Thanks.

I also want to mention this person does construction work and the device may be subject to some durability tests lol.

New Version Vamo V7 And Kanger Subtank Nano

I ordered a new version of the Vamo V7 varible voltage 40 Watt mod and I am wondering if the Kanger Subtank Nano with a 1.2 ohm coil would be a viable combination. I want to try this tank just for the better flavor possibility but since the Vamo V7 is only rated down to 0.8 Ohms, I figure that I would have to use the 1.2 Ohm coil that is supplied with the Nano. I'm not quite ready to start dripping at this point in my vaping experience but want to get close to it. Are there any other tanks that would work better with the Vamo V7 than the nano? Thanks in advance for the advice.

Trying To Pick What Online Store To Buy From. (auth & Clone)

Hey. As the post states Im trying to decide what online store to buy my next purchases from. Im looking at buying a few different things. It is basically a new start into the world of rebuilding. Both RTA and RDA. Maybe a regulated device or mech mod, but Im more concerned with tanks and attys. I also need to purchase a few rebuilding tools.

Here is what I have so far and where Im headed:
Already have Kanthal A-1 26 and 29 gauge wire. Also have Koh Gen Do Cotton. Also have tweezers, clippers, pliers, scissors, etc. Basic stuff. My setup is iStick 30w and Nautilus Minis.

Looking to get:
1 or 2 RTA's (almost certain on Kanger Subtank Mini)
1 or 2 RDA's (possibly Magma)
Coil Jig, Screwdrivers, spare parts such as o-rings, etc
Any other useful things not already listed. Not opposed to authentic or clones. But im not gonna spend a small fortune

As far as websites are concerned Ive looked at Fasttech and Focalecig alot. Leaning towards Fastech but really dont want to wait a month ...

ANY HELP WITH BEST WEBSITES AND GEAR WOULD BE MUCH APPRECIATED.

Thank you guys always

Am I A Luddite?

Or maybe even a heretic, or a blasphemer?
I like mini tanks and small batteries. My favorite setups are mini protank version 1 clones with 650mah basic ego style batteries. Stainless steel finish, no funky colors or designs. Single bottom coil on the tanks, no air flow controls. Standard voltage batteries, no twisty things on the bottom, no usb passthrough, no digital displays, just a battery. I like the ego style because the protruding button is easier to find and helps keep them from rolling around. The lack of features I don't need means the batteries are small. I like small, sleek, simple.

I have a nice big fancy Smok vv/vw battery. If I cut my juice in half with VG I can blow some massive clouds without knocking myself out. I found this to be mildly amusing for a short period of time. I also found out that with my regular mix when I dialed around for the "sweet spot" I ended up at 3.7 volts...

The mini tanks don't hold a day's worth of juice, and the 650mah batteries don't last all day. So what? Tank gets low, twist it off and pop another on. Battery light flashes, same thing. I've got a battered old EGO case from my first starter kit, it holds four tanks and batteries and a bottle of juice with room to spare.

I got my first mini pro tank from a vape shop. I just assumed it was a Kanger, but there was no mention of Kangertech anywhere on the packaging or tank. Whatever, I really liked it. I figured the real deal would be even better so I ordered one online. Kanger had discontinued the version 1, so I bought the "new, improved" version 2. It was good, but I liked the clone version 1 better. The clone tanks are polycarbonate rather than pyrex, but I don't vape plastic eating flavors, so that's a non-issue.

Now I'm not knocking all the cloud chasing, coil winding, wick trimming gear heads that seem to dominate these forums, but if there's anybody else out there who enjoys vaping with a nice, simple, inexpensive setup, I'd like to hear from you.

New Mod And Tank For 10 W Vaper

Hi everybody, I have lost track of new vaping gear and need an advice.
Finally one of my mods died. The newest one, Joyetech eVic Primo. Bad from the beginning (because of its faulty protection) it just stopped working. Another mod should die soon. It is a clone of iStick 30, 4+ years old. It's my best mode, but its battery already is at about of half capacity (after about 1500 charges).
So, now I use iStick 30, iStick Pico 25 and iStick Pico. Tanks (from best to worst) Kayfun 5, Siren 2, Ammit, OBS Engine NANO.
I need a new mod and, possibly, a new tank.
Thanks for reading.

My Current Wattage Settings, Mvp3.0

Just curious what wattage you guys are comfortable with. I just got my Itaste mvp3.0. I have the Kanger Subtank Nano with a .5 ohm occ. The mvp recommends 25-30 watts for that. But the coil itself says 15-30 watts. Kind of confusing. Anyway I keep mine between 15-20 watts. Anything more heats the tank up too much, like I can feel the heat on my lip.

I just picked up a Kanger Genitank Mega also, haven't tried it yet but it came with 1.8 coils, so I'll probably start at about 6-7 watts and go from there.

I love this thing, so far very happy with my purchase, hopefully it holds up for a long time. I guess just want to see if I'm doing everything safely.

Backup Mod Recommendations

After Many months of searching, I have settled on my main out and about Mod as an MVP 30W and a Kanger Sub Tank Mini. I still love my e-pipes & drippers at home, but it is really nice just to grab the MVP and go, no extra batteries, parts, juice bottles, etc.

I have been carrying my old MVP2 & a Nautilus as a backup, but the vape and flavor is very different then my main, it really doesn't work as a backup.

After doing a ton of research I have decided that I will be going with the Subtank nano, but I am at a loss for what mod to get.

My only must have is that it needs to output at least 20 watts and stay around $70 or under. I want something smaller then the MVP 30W which is the reason I have not just picked up on of those.

I would like on board charging but it is not a must have.

I am open to either a box or tub style.

i have looked at the iStick 30, but I am not sure the lip on it will look good with the nano.

Okay EFC, let me know your thoughts!

Friend Wants To Get Into Vapor - What Gear?

A friend of mine who smoked for 30 years wanted me to help her get set up for something reliable for vapor. She's tried in the past with eGO setups and didn't like it. Leaks, frustration, broken glass tanks, etc.

I rebuild a lot, so what I use isn't ideal for someone totally new to the game.

I suggested an iStick 30 and subtank mini. Seems to be a decent balance of cost, power, and option to rebuild in the future. She doesn't want external batteries, chargers, or any other expensive hassle.

Any of you try to ease someone into vaping recently with all the new higher power hardware out? What worked well, what didn't work well?

Mod/battery For Subtank Nano

lovin' my Subtank mini on an I stick. So as an ego + BCC guy, naturally I would like to have an ego-sized battery to go with a ST nano as a backup/at-work kinda thing, problem is, egos can't go sub-ohm! Ego One is interesting and might fit, what do you guys think?

Need Some Advice On A New Setup...

Hello ECF, I need your help once again! I'm going to be taking a mini vacation in July and want to get a new setup for my trip. My current gear-

IPV2S, BCV XXIX, Freakshow Mini, Tobh, Atlantis and a SubTank Mini.

I find myself using the IPVxSubTank Mini combo most often due to convenience, and will be taking that setup on my trip as well as whatever new setup I end up purchasing. Problem being, I want/need bigger juice capacity and longer battery life. Most of all, I need something that wont break the bank.

Was looking into something like the eGrip but not sure if 1500mAh will be enough. Or the Evic VT once it's available (been dying to get a temp control device).

Thoughts? Suggestions? Any input is appreciated!

Cheers!

New Vaping Gear, Pretty Happy

I'm almost two years into vaping and it has been great.

I've been using a VW Ehuge 35 watt 26650 mod with a Kanger Subtank. Its huge and heavy but the battery lasts a long time. Also been using an Innokin Coolfire 2 with a Gladius tank.

Figured it was time to upgrade. Been watching several review videos to see whats out there. A lot of new sub ohm tanks and they all seem pretty good.

I've never had a box mod and figured it was time. Bought a Cloupor T6 recently to put my Subtank on. The T6 is supposed to be a 100 watt device. The Kanger coil only goes to 30 watts so no big deal there.

I really like the T6. Pretty small for a 26650 mod. Surface is slippery though, need to get a wrap for it. Butons are nice any clicky. The battery cover has magnets which is nice, no screw driver needed. Feels solid and the internals are clean. Its thick and the 25mm Subtank fits nicely on it.

Recently after watching some videos, I came across a new kinda unknown Sub Ohm Clearo. Its the Freemax Starre Sub Ohm. .5ohm or .25ohm coils. Mine came with the .5ohm. The .5ohm is rated 20-60 watts and the .25ohm is rated 20-100 watts. Reviewers were all impressed with the vapor and taste of this device. So I ordered one.

Wow, OMG, this Freemax Starre rocks. Blows away my Kanger Sub Tank in vapor production and flavor. Holds 5ml and the air holes are huge. Surgical Stainless Steel and Surgical Cotton used in the coil. Amazing.

After some more research, I discovered the Cloupor T6 really doesn't put out 100 watts. Well, that makes sense as its only a single battery device.

So went to the local vape shop today and bought a Sigelei 150 watt to put the Freemax Starre on. Will order some .25ohm coils soon.

Lovin the Sigelei so far. Magnets on battery cover, comes with a silicone gel case, nice clicky buttons, takes 2 18650. Its taller and wider than the T6 but not as thick. One thing it lacks that the T6 has is a USB charging port.

The Freemax Starre fits perfectly on it. The Kanger Sub Tank is wider than the Sigelei but fits perfect on the T6.

Really enjoying both of these box mods.
